PNGAS Corporate Members

                                          
The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (PNGAS), is comprised of the National Guard Association of Pennsylvania (NGAPA) and the Pennsylvania National Guard Enlisted Association. PNGAS is a non-profit membership association for the support and benefit of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Its purposes are:
  • To promote and perpetuate its efficient functioning and organization;
  • To advocate policies for the advancement and well being of its members;
  • To foster and improve the Guard as an organized, federally-recognized militia of the Commonwealth and the United States;
  • To foster cooperation and joint programs for the Guard officers and enlisted personnel through NGAPA and PNGEA.

130th NGAUS Conference - BaltimoreNGAUS Conference.  Executive Director Dean Oswald has announced that registration is now open for the 130th NGAUS Conference, which will be held on 20-22 Sep 08.  Registration is first-come, first-served.  The deadline is 14 Aug 08. More. . .

Wright for NGAUS. Major General Jessica Wright, Adjutant General of Pennsylvania, has announced her candidacy for Vice-Chair for Army of the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS). More. . .

Patrick Henry Award. Chris Bradish, legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, was awarded the prestigious Patrick Henry Award by the National Guard Association of the United States at a ceremony in Washington on 5 March 08.  Joined by NGAUS President, Brigadier General Steve Koper, Major General Jessica Wright presented the award to Mr. Bradish and Senator Specter.  General Wright praised the outstanding work of Mr. Bradish on a large variety of issues of importance to the Guard, and thanked Senator Specter for his superb leadership and support for the Guard. PNGAS '08 Combined Conference/ Workshop.  The PNGAS '08 Combined Conference/ Senior Leadership Workshop was held on 24 - 27 April 2008 at Lancaster Host Resort.  This was the second workshop and it built on a record of success with dynamic and interesting briefings and fun for all.

 2nd Brigade Combat Team2nd Brigade Memorial at Boalsburg.   
The 2 BCT has embarked on an effort to erect a memorial at Boalsburg to honor the 82 soldiers, sailors and marines who were killed in combat during the  2 BCT's deployment to Iraq.
