Date and Location.  The Combined Conference will be held 24-27 April 2008, at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center, 2300 Lincoln Highway East (Route 30), Lancaster, PA  17602.

Lodging.  Three hotels were contracted to support this conference.  Each hotel has a block of rooms reserved under the name block "Pennsylvania National Guard" until 01 April 2008.  Workshop attendees must
ask for this name to receive the special room rate of $89.00 plus tax.  Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations.  Check websites for hotel highlights, accommodation information, and directions.

Location of Events.  The Lancaster Host Resort will be the site of the workshop activities, including:  registration, general sessions,  vendors and exhibits,  briefings,  breakout meetings,  golf tournament, PNGAS Hospitality Suite, and the welcome reception followed by the banquet dinner.
 
Workshop Fee.  Attendees will pay a $37.00 workshop fee to cover the cost of refreshment breaks and networking sessions and other amenities.  There is no charge for your spouse/guest.
 
Associations' Banquet/Dinner.  PNGAS will host the Welcome Reception and Association Dinner on Friday evening (25 April 2008).  The cost of the dinner is $50.00.  This price includes the pre-dinner reception, dinner, and entertainment.  We will have assigned seating again this year.  If you wish to sit with certain individuals, please annotate such on the registration form.  We will make every effort to accommodate your seating requests.
 
Meals.  The Lancaster Host Resort offers a full-service restaurant.  Additionally, there are numerous restaurants (both fast food and sit-down service available) within close proximity to the hotel.
 
Attire. 
Military attendees' attire during the business portion of the conference is the Warrior Uniform: ACU, BDU, or flight suit.  Civilian attire is business casual (e.g., slacks, sports shirt, optional sport jacket).
 
The welcome reception and Associtions dinner attire is business casual.
 
The golf tournament attire is appropriate golf wear.
 
Departure Information.  The conference is scheduled to end on Sunday, 27 April at 1200 hours.  Attendees should coordinate late checkout, if required, on an individual basis.

Family Activities.  There are activities planned for spouses/guests during selected periods of the conference.  Additionally, Lancaster County is rich in activities.  Each hotel website offers local activities and attractions.  The Lancaster County Tourism Office will be available at the registration desk.  http://padutchcountry.com/
 

Spouse Activity.  Come pamper yourself in the Presidential Suite (PNGAS Hospitality Suite) at 1000 hrs, Saturday morning.  Get a facial, a makeover, or try on items from a beautiful line of jewelry.  We will have consultants from Mary Kay beauty products and another representative displaying this season�s �La Sophia� jewelry collection.  Light refreshments will be provided.
 
Retiree Activities.  This year, PNGAS has added some special interest briefings for retirees.  There will be three optional breakout seminars available on Friday 25 April.  On Friday morning, a Veterans Affairs Counselor will be presenting a program on Veterans Benefits.  The briefing will cover all current benefits for veterans, whether retired or not.  A second session will cover all military retirement benefits, services, and timelines for applications.  A retirement services coordinator will have a very informative program available.  Following the retirement services program, the PNG military personnel office will present a briefing on current Tricare benefits.  All benefits for those under 60 years of age and those over 60 years of age will be covered.  All new services will be discussed.  All three of these sessions will offer plenty of time for questions and answers.  Bring your spouse and come in to meet your buddies from days gone by.  After a hard day of seminar sessions, everyone will be ready to adjourn to the hospitality suite and an evening of fine dining and entertainment at the PNGAS Associations' Dinner.
